VISHNI, THE SEVEN MONASTERIES ``TRI SHILIKS``, STRUGA

The Vishni village is located in the municipality of Struga. It’s located at an altitude of 1050 meters, with a beautiful panoramic view of Struga and Ohrid.
You can reach the village by the main road from Struga that leads to the border cross point Qafasan. They call it the ``Holy Valley`` because there are seven churches...
The village is located in the Drimkol area, Struga, the village area rises on the eastern slope of the Mountain Jablanica and shares the state border with Albania. It is surrounded by a forest of beech and oak trees.
The cave church dedicated to the Ascension of Christ is located 3 km. from the village. The frescoes date from the end of 14th century.
The mountain plateau is rich with many springs: Studenec, Izvor, Cheshma and others. The name of the village comes from the height at which it is located, 1050 meters above the sea level. There’s a wonderful panoramic view of Struga and the Ohrid field from here.
