ZELEZNEC VILLAGE, THE SPRING OF CRNA REKA (BLACK RIVER), DEMIR HISAR

The village of Zeleznec is located in the northwestern part of the Demir Hisar Municipality, nearby the springs of the river Crna Reka. The village is located at an altitude of 720 meters.
The village is known for the springs of Crna Reka, and since 2004 it has been a protected monument of culture, due to the distinctive architecture present in the village.
The springs of Crna Reka are in the area of the village itself. The biggest spring is Crna Dupka, which is located above the village of Zeleznec, while there are two more springs in the Gorno Maalo area, although with a lower flow, they have never dried up.

INFORMATION ABOUT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

The Chicheov monastery has ideal conditions for cycling and hiking trails. The Klepa peak (altitude of 1150 m.) is near the monastery. There is a hiking trail that is properly marked by the environmental group ``Green Power`` from Veles.
